Founder, Mel Barry, has a background in the environmental and social impact sector. She partners with visual artists working in natural or reclaimed materials and who have a strong interest in nature and local community themes or outcomes. Other artistic partnerships in intergenerational events have included dancers and a poet.

As an independent producer, Mel curates group exhibitions, workshops and talks in partnership with charities, voluntary groups and other community focused venues. These partnerships promote a cause or venue while providing accessible opportunities for all walks of life to participate in creative enrichment.

Combing curatorial and production experience with an academic background in politics, she facilitates a community and societal purpose themed creativity workshop for groups adults or young people. Enquire here

If you would like art selection advice for your home or office, a non-refundable booking fee of £100 applies for a one and a half hour consultation with Mel - costs for travel within Greater London, Somerset and Wiltshire are not an additional cost when at least 7 working days of notice is given in advance. There is no obligation to purchase art but if you do and it is paid for in full within 14 consecutive days from the consultation visit then a one-off of £50 will be deducted from your first purchase of £200 or more; a one-off of £100 will be deducted from your first purchase/commission of £500 or more. By appointment.

Contributing Artists

All artists with work in the Popsy Set collection have led or participated in workshops, exhibitions or talks within the grassroots of local communities in partnership with charities, schools, voluntary groups and public venues. Group exhibitions of the work place an equal emphasis on profiling professional and emerging artists alike.
